Training Opportunities
Industrial
In partnership with our sister company Livingston and Haven, we offer training programs through the Institute of Applied Technologies.
The best hydraulic, electric, and lubrication training for plant maintenance
Today’s global competition forces us to compare and improve ourselves. As a result, we have developed a series of seminars that aim to meet the training needs of our growing industry. Only those who have the technical knowledge will be able to effectively position themselves in an ever-changing market.
Our courses provide employees with the technical know-how they need for working in hydraulic and electrical fields so that manufacturers can continue to expand in a global marketplace. To learn more download our course catalog found here.
Direct Current Technology
Through our partnership with Direct Energy Partners, AEG’s goal is to revolutionize the energy industry by facilitating the transition from standard AC current to direct current (DC) technology. We are excited to be at the forefront of this opportunity and would like to welcome you to the movement. Contact us or our partners for more information.
SMA Training Facility
SMA and AEG have partnered to implement the concept of a “Hosted Solar Academy” in the facilities of AEG DRC in Kinshasa. This center will provide practical courses in photovoltaic and storage technology, including installation, commissioning, and first-level troubleshooting methods.

It will facilitate the transfer of technological know-how and best practices in photovoltaics to engineers, installers, project developers, PV EPCs, and other interested stakeholders. The two initial training offerings will cover PV with storage systems for on-grid and off-grid applications and residential/commercial self-consumption.
Firefly PAYGO Assembly and Distribution
Through years of experience in the Democratic Republic of Congo, AEG International, and AEG DRC have sharpened their skills and developed a set of best practices for operating a distributed energy services company, better known as a DESCO, to manage the assembly, distribution, and after-sales support services for pay-as-you-go solar home system kits in urban and rural areas alike.
Bolstered by a $200,000 grant from the United States Agency for International Development’s Power Africa Off-grid Project’s (PAOP) Catalyzing Off-grid Investment (COIN) Fund, we were able to develop and implement a robust program for market expansion in last-mile markets, including the creation of a proprietary Android phone application for managing clients and kits without a data connection, in collaboration with some of the world’s experts on the topic in the midst of a global pandemic.

If your company is interested in becoming a distribution partner for our Firefly product line, we will train your employees on all aspects of the business from getting started in the Congo to opening offices, marketing, and maintaining an active customer base and workforce.
