Our Story
AEG International is a North Carolina Limited Liability Company incorporated in 2014 which is fully owned by the privately-held North Carolina Company, Hyde Park Partners Inc. (HPP). HPP is a 75-year-old engineering company with approximately 200 employees and $80 million in annual revenue. HPP formed AEG International in 2014 to create a subsidiary that could focus on renewable energy and clean water solutions for developing countries.

The systems we install range from Firefly, a 50W solar home lighting, and charging system, to small-scale solar farms, hybrid renewable energy systems with battery storage, and stand-alone solar PV mini-grids that can provide up to 100MW of constant, reliable, independent electrical power for streetlights, homes, businesses, medical facilities, schools, places of worship, and more.
We operate internationally in Tanzania through the subsidiary company American Engineering Group, Ltd. and in the Democratic Republic of Congo through AEG DRC. The company aims to continue to expand its presence in Africa and is pursuing opportunities in Ghana and Cameroon as well.

Our teams have successfully completed two USG-funded grants - a USTDA feasibility study in Ghana and a USAID Power Africa Offgrid Project grant in the DRC - and numerous privately funded streetlights, water filtration, and PV microgrid projects.
